The inspiration for the shire, the place where Hobbits live. This is Sarehole mill, I grew up in this area after moving from South Africa after the death of my father. This place had a few spots of countryside to walk and spend days in. This was the main part of the inspiration. A few square miles of country land in Sarehole. I also incorporated the corn mill by the water. I even Wrote to a newspaper about this specific topic.
